Además, les priva de la oportunidad de tener una educación y les impide tener acceso a atención sanitaria, agua potable, alimentación, refugio, seguridad y protección, información, etc. La pobreza es amenaza para la infancia y viola los Derechos del Niño tal y como se definen en la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño.
